The thing with me is, I don't necessarily agree with every view on social and political issues I hear mentioned on this channel. Honestly, there are some ways in which the person I am today is probably someone Rob wouldn't even like. That's not why I'm here though. I'm here because I watched his content back when I was in my early-to-mid teens and always loved it, it was one of the first channels I ever subscribed to. I highly doubt he remembers it, but I sent him a piece of cringey fanmail and he responded by posting a comment on my channel page just to say hi, it made my day Back then, I was the weird kid, not just in my class but in my school, I had a very hard time of being the kind of different I was, in ways that still have me messed up to this day and that I might never fully recover from. Rob was one of the early influences in my life that reminded me I was allowed to be different, and that if other people didn't like me for it, that was their problem, not mine. This in a time when I received 95% negative feedback and 5% pity, here was someone who just wanted to remind people that I don't need either, that what I am is fine and valuable, and people who give me a hard time about it, THEY are the problem So I'm very socially liberal, I engage in self-destructive stupid behaviours, I get offended at things, good chance if Rob ever actually met me, he'd roll his eyes. But I believe in freedom of speech, I don't think everyone who disagrees with me is a bad person, and I hate that discourse takes the form of slinging insults at each other and getting our own sides riled up when both sides of the media are owned by the same people and just trying to push the agendas of the rich and powerful anyway in ways that are tailored to political beliefs. If pushed, I'd say I'm a leftist. If not pushed, I'd say I don't use wing labels and am a very harsh critic of the left. More than that, I'm a human being with a story, as is everyone here. That's the important part, and Rob was a very important part of allowing me to realise that Bl00dblitz for life
